New Delhi, Apr 21 (PTI): University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Jagadesh Kumar has announced that students with four-year undergraduate degrees can now directly apply for NET and pursue PhD programs.
In order to pursue a PhD program, students must earn at least 75% of their four-year undergraduate degree, or equivalent grades, with or without a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
A master’s degree with at least 55% of the possible points was previously required in order to be eligible for the National Eligibility Test (NET).
