The company dispatched 62,294 units to its dealers in the same period. In the domestic market, M&M’s passenger vehicle sales increased 18% to 41,008 units in April 2024, up from 34,698 units in the same month last year.

On the other hand, total exports rose 2% to 1,857 units in April 2024 as compared to 1,813 units in the year-ago period.

The company’s tractor sales also saw a 2% increase to 37,039 units in April 2024 from 36,405 units in the same period last year.

According to M&M President, Farm Equipment Sector Hemant Sikka, the government’s wheat procurement operations are going on in full swing in April 2024, which is keeping the rural cash flows healthy.

He also added that IMD’s forecast of an above-normal monsoon rains and festivals in the month of April have helped bring positivity in rural sentiments.
