A generator caught fire in a housing complex in Thane city, Maharashtra, in the early hours of Thursday, according to Yasin Tadvi, chief of the Disaster Management Cell of the Thane civic body.
The incident occurred at a residential premises located along the Mumbai-Nashik highway.
Fortunately, no one was injured. The fire started in the generator around 4:25 am and was extinguished by local firemen by 5:10 am.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
