Analysis:
Irrespective of who the hero is, if the content is good, films with a devotional touch do magic at the box office. There is a devotional touch in ‘Shivam Bhaje’ and the promotional images are impressive. According to that, the director Apsar has chosen a new point. The idea of China-Pakistan conspiring against India is good. In reality, Shiva himself is breaking the conspiracy through a man. Also, it is good to touch the point of Geno Transplantation which is known only to a few people. But the ideas of the director are very great. He has been completely successful in bringing those ideas on the screen. The movie starts with scenes like Sino-Pakistani conspiracy, introduction of the hero and the murder of a chemical engineer. From there, the director took some time to go into the original story. Love scenes between hero-heroine are very good. The director has been very successful in making those scenes more beautiful. The comedy scenes are also well-liked. And the hero’s eyes are lost in an accidental accident and someone else’s eyes are implanted. From there the movie becomes interesting. Especially the interval block gives a surprise. What actually happened? What’s going to happen next? The interval block was designed to create excitement. The tempo continued to some extent in the second half as well. The second half was better than the first half. The pre-climax is as expected. The scenes revealing the villain should have been written more effectively. Also, some of the murders and the investigation around them are more gripping and thrilling. The way the climax is designed is superb.
Performance of actors and technicians:
Ashwin Babu has done well in the role of Chandu. He excelled in action scenes. Especially in the climax, he showed a violent look. Meanwhile, Digangana Suryavanshi showed her mark. Hyper Adi in the role of the hero’s friend and Brahmaji in the role of the doctor gave a lot of laughs. Arbaaz Khan, Murali Sharma, Tulsi, Devi Prasad, Shakalaka Shankar, and others acted in a wide range of roles. Dasharathi Shivendra’s camera work is impressive. Vikas Badisa, who seemed to have nothing to do with the songs, elevated the scenes well with the background music. Editing by Chota K. Prasad is neat. Production values are good.
Finally.
Made as an action thriller with a mythological touch and a new point, ‘Shivam Bhaje’ has impressed the audience. It has succeeded in making the story more interesting. The output is also very good. Rating: 3/5
