The TDP is going forward in a new direction though it has registered a landslide victory in the recent election. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his council of ministers including Nara Lokesh decided to work for giving utmost priority equally to the party along with the government administration. Apart from this the State government announced Naidu’s flagship programme Janmabhumi and Revenue Sadassalu in the model of Prajalavaddakupaalana.

Previously there was a displeasure among the cadre that the TDP leadership neglected them after coming to power. But the party cadre and second-rung leaders stood as a backbone in the TDP’s victory even though the YSRCP government used all efforts to disturb the party at the grassroots.
The TDP cadre, undeterred, stood with their leader and party, by resisting temptations and hardships.
Their efforts helped the TDP to come into power. Nara Lokesh has also created confidence among the cadre.

In this backdrop, Chief Minister Naidu interacts with the public and cadre at the party office once a week every Saturday. He directly collects the representations from the public and takes steps to solve the grievances. It is a big boost to the party cadre and public when the Chief Minister is available to meet them directly.

Besides, TDP General Secretary and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh started interacting with the public at his residence in the name of Praja Darbar almost daily. Apart from this, the TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu has given direction to the ministers and senior leaders to take part in the grievances cell. Now several ministers and senior leaders are also participating in the public grievances cell which is arranged in the party’s central office.

The TDP announced a scheduled programme for this purpose up to the end of this month. Ministers S Savita, NMD Farooq and senior leader V Prabhakar Chowdary met the visitors and collected the representations so far.

Every day nearly 200 people meet the leaders and can submit their representations. It is a good opportunity especially for party cadres to solve their problems. The entire programme gives a feeling that the TDP protects the interests of cadres though it is in the government against the previous bad experiences.

Of course, the TDP leadership has started this programme to address the grievances of the party’s central office as in the past. TDP Central office in Hyderabad used to work closely with the public.

Recently Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that the people would again see the CBN 1.0 recalling his previous tenure in 1995 to 2004. He gave utmost priority to the cadre in the past during his general secretary period. Now the TDP has started implementing the previous model programmes to extend services to the public. Nara Lokesh is also very keen on all the programmes to make them successful. The party leadership has decided to fill the majority of nominated posts in the next couple of weeks. Already the leadership is collecting representations from the party cadre and leaders. It is the changing trends in the TDP after coming to power by giving priority to meet the public to solve their issues.

Besides, the TDP Politburo announced to initiate the Janmabhumi programme again with the aim to involve the public in the government function. The State has also decided to conduct Revenue Sadassulu to address the land issues. There are some allegations against the previous government that had snatched lands from the public. The government wants to conduct an inquiry and solve the land disputes and related problems.
