A Special Investigation Team (SIT) is currently investigating a controversy involving adulterated ghee used in the preparation of Srivari Laddu Prasadam, which has generated significant concern nationwide. The SIT is meeting at the Bhudevi Complex to discuss the laddu adulteration issue, involving DSPs, CIs, and other officials, along with CBI SP Murali Ramba. The investigation, which commenced at the DSP level, is focused on gathering comprehensive details from various sources.
The SIT has been actively investigating in Tirumala for the past two days. This team was recently established in collaboration with CBI officials following directives from the Supreme Court. The investigation is proceeding vigorously under CBI supervision, with officials divided into three teams.
So far, the SIT has collected information from AR Dairy in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, and conducted inspections at TTD marketing godowns in Tirupati. They have also inquired into tender files related to the purchase of ghee and seized key documents from both Vaishnavi and AR Dairies. Notably, searches at AR Dairy lasted for 13 hours. This investigation is based on a case registered at the Tirupati East Police Station.
