Pithapuram: Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan embarked on the second day of his election campaign in Pithapuram Assembly constituency, where he directed his appeal towards the youth and fishermen, emphasising critical issues and outlining his vision for the constituency’s development.
During his visit, which spans from March 30 to April 2, Kalyan engaged with the local community, paying homage at Puruhuthika Devi temple and Basheer Bibi darga. His focus on skill development resonated strongly as he advocated for long-term opportunities over short-term financial incentives, cautioning against the allure of immediate gains such as the Rs 5,000 giveaways offered by the present YSRCP government.
Kalyan underscored the necessity of establishing a skill development centre in Pithapuram to empower young individuals through vocational training. He criticised the current government’s policies, particularly regarding liquor, citing their detrimental impact on public health and well-being. To counter this, he proposed setting up quality healthcare facilities and leveraging his connections to ensure the delivery of essential services.
Additionally, Kalyan unveiled plans to transform Pithapuram into a thriving temple circuit, aiming at boosting tourism and the local economy. His alliance with the TDP and BJP signals a comprehensive approach to addressing the constituency’s needs.
Asserting his commitment to fulfilling promises, Kalyan expressed confidence in his connections in Delhi (BJP). He raised concerns about missing girls and women in Andhra Pradesh, challenging Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on the issue.
The ongoing campaign, spanning various constituencies across Andhra Pradesh, reflects Kalyan’s strategic focus on Pithapuram and his dedication to addressing local concerns. His efforts resonate with voters, particularly given the constituency’s influential Kapu community and its potential impact on the electoral landscape.
