Telugu Desam Party state president Kinjarapu Atchannaidu has written two letters to the Chief Election Officer. A complaint has been lodged with the CEC against MLC Duvvada Srinivas. It is stated that he has threatened, blackmailed and arrested TDP candidates in the 2021-22 local body elections and filed illegal cases. Now he is openly announcing that he will repeat the same. They demanded that a high-level inquiry be ordered against Duvvada Srinivas and criminal cases be registered.

He also wrote another letter to the CEC to take steps to prevent the involvement of secretariat volunteers in political campaigns. The letter revealed that the Central Election Commission has ordered the officials to ensure that volunteers do not participate in the election activities. The Chief Minister described the volunteers as his army.

Achchenna also complained against Minister Dharmana who told volunteers to facilitate applications for senior citizens opting for postal ballots. He alleged that the YCP leaders have been giving money and gifts to the volunteers for 15 days to help them in the election campaigns. He clarified that political campaigning is unethical as volunteers are paid from government exchequer. Achchenna asked to consider the matter as an urgent matter and ban the involvement of volunteers in political campaigns.
