During his term as a Chief Minister, Naidu’s public image was that of an economic reformer and proponent of information technology-based economic growth.
His policies brought modernisation and investments particularly to Hyderabad in the past, where he directed the founding of HITEC City. Chandrababu Naidu played an important role for establishment of ISB in Hyderabad. The foundation stone for the campus was laid in 1999 and was inaugurated by the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In 2001, One of the popular incidents that cemented this claim, is Naidu’s meeting with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, which paved way for the tech giant’s footprint in India’s Hyderabad.
We had been a great admirer of Chief Minister of AP N.Chandra Babu Naidu for his vision and direction that he has given to all Andhra-ites and entire IT communities across the globe. Needless to mention, he has been a trendsetter for IT folks, many generations and many individuals including me. While he has been rightly credited for Hyderabad’s emergence as an IT power centre, he must now make good his promise to Andhra’s farmers to lift them out of stagnation and poverty. Naidu has pooled 33,000 acres of land from farmers of 29 villages, including the aforementioned three. “We made them partners in the capital project under the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) by returning developed plots of 1,000 sq. yards for residential use and 250 sq. yards and 400 sq. yards for commercial use for farmers of dry and wet lands respectively for every acre taken away],” says Naidu. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision for IT development in Telangana state has received widespread recognition and praise. Naidu’s efforts were commended by industry experts, and the state was ranked among the top IT destinations in India. Moving beyond the IT industry, he has embarked on a mission to develop and improve all sectors. Unequaled in attracting investments, new companies, and cutting-edge techniques, he’s driving the Andhra Pradesh state toward a brighter future.
