The Central Government announced the 70th National Film Awards on Friday. In 2022, nominations were received from more than 300 films released in about 28 languages across the country. The awards were announced by a jury of 11 members. Karthikeya 2 from Telugu was the best regional film, Ponniyan Selvan-1 was the best Tamil film and KGF 2 was the best Kannada film.
