Zinc Futures Dip by 0.11% to Rs 261.50/kg as Speculators Cut Exposure

Zinc prices fell by 0.11% to Rs 261.50 per kilogram in the futures trade on Friday as speculators reduced their exposure, following negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded 30 paise lower at Rs 261.50 per kg in 3,225 lots. Analysts stated that the trimming of positions by participants, due to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market, mainly weighed on zinc prices.
