Former TTD chairman and YSR Congress MP YV Subbareddy condemned Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s sensational comments alleging that Tirumala Tirupati Laddu Prasadam was desecrated during the YSRCP regime. Subbareddy stated that no political leader in the country had ever made such claims, and if Naidu does not retract his remarks, they will pursue legal and judicial action, including filing a case in the Supreme Court.
In a challenge to Naidu, Subbareddy declared that he is prepared to take an oath before Lord Venkateswara along with his family to prove his innocence and asked whether Naidu is willing to do the same. Addressing the media, Subbareddy expressed dismay at Naidu’s statements, which he believes have hurt the sentiments of Srivari devotees worldwide. He clarified that the prasadam is prepared using cow ghee, sourced from Rajasthan and Gujarat, and the ingredients are of the highest quality.
He emphasized that they are ready for any investigation into the matter, including a probe by the Central government. Subbareddy also revealed that under their administration, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) had returned poor-quality ghee shipments multiple times to maintain the high standard of the prasadam. He demanded that Naidu provide proof for his allegations, asserting that the claims were a deliberate attempt to tarnish the YSR Congress Party’s image.
