VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy categorically said that MLAs and MPs of YSRCP hardly mattered in the forthcoming elections and the party was fighting the elections seeking votes in his name.

Speaking to India Today channel he admitted that he was taking a high risk as he believed what mattered was his governance and not the personal credentials of the MLAs and MPS.

Jagan agreed that there was some percentage of anti-incumbency in certain constituencies and that was reason or the changing the candidates. “I am going to the elections asking voters to vote for me and for my government. If the voter thinks his future should be good he will vote for me”.

He said if the government had delivered it meant that he (Jagan) had delivered the goods. “If the voters want this governance to continue they will have to elect the MLAs and MPs I have chosen”.

Jagan said he was facing an armada of political parties including his sister Y.S. Sharmila (APCC chief) against him, because of his good governance.

He said TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had propped up his sister Y S Sharmila to fight against him in the Andhra Pradesh elections.

“Congress party in Andhra Pradesh is remotely controlled by Chandrababu Naidu.  I am not worried about Sharmila contesting but I feel sorry that she would lose her deposit as the voters understood the game plan”. Jagan said the concept of Amravati as capital of Andhra Pradesh was a big scam.
