Vijayawada: June 21: YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took oath as an MLA and immediately walked out of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Friday.
As soon as his name was called, Jagan entered the House, heading straight to the Speaker’s podium. He took the oath, initially identifying himself as YS Jaganmohan before correcting it to YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
Notably, he left the House without taking a seat. During his brief presence, Jagan saluted with folded hands to those present in the Assembly, including chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who acknowledged him with a nod. Jagan entered Assembly premises through the back gate, accompanied by his personal security.
Inside the Assembly, he had brief meeting with his party MLAs in the Deputy Speaker chamber. The YSRCP legislators, including Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, joined Jagan, sitting on the last bench for five minutes as they waited their turn to take the oath.
