Wrestler Aman Sehrawat enters Paris Olympics quarters

In the 57kg freestyle category at the Paris Olympics, 21-year-old Indian wrestler Aman Sehrawat dominated his North Macedonian rival, Vladimir Egorov, to secure a spot in the quarterfinals.

Aman, the only male wrestler from India to qualify for the Olympics and an Asian Championship gold medallist, showcased his agility and defensive skills.

He won the bout on technical superiority (10-0) by regularly overpowering Egorov with leg holds. After the first round, Egorov required medical attention for his knee, but despite this, he couldn’t stage a comeback.

Aman secured an additional two points with a takedown, bringing the score to 10-0. Aman’s next bout will take place later in the day.
