Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that a law similar to the HYDRA model will be implemented in Andhra Pradesh. He stated that once the law is enacted, the encroachments on the Budameru river will be the first to be cleared. He emphasized that if the encroachments by a few individuals cause suffering to thousands of people, action must be taken. During a review with the Collectors on Sunday regarding the recent rains and floods, he addressed the issue of the Budameru river and mentioned that encroachments have contributed to its overflow.
