The Construction Federation of India (CFI) has appointed Vinayak Pai, the Managing Director & CEO of Tata Projects, as the President of its national council. The National Council will serve a two-year term (FY25-FY26). Akhil Gupta, the Executive Director & CEO of Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Pvt. Ltd, has been elected as the Vice President, and Priti Patel, the Deputy Director of Patel Engineering Ltd, as Treasurer.
The newly elected National Council includes representatives from several leading infrastructure construction companies across India. It comprises Ajit Bhate, Managing Director of Precast India Infrastructures, and Arjun Dhawan, Vice Chairman of Hindustan Construction Company Ltd, among others.
Additionally, Hardik Agrawal, Director of Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon; M V Satish, Adviser to CMD for Buildings & Member ECOM, L&T Ltd; Nalin Gupta, Managing Director of J Kumar Infraprojects; Krishnam Raju P, Vice President of NCC Ltd; Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director & CEO of KEC International; and Yogen Lal, CEO of Welspun Enterprises Ltd are also part of the council. The national council has also named Ajit Gulabchand as President Emeritus.
Established in 2000, CFI has been actively engaged in policy advocacy and promoting collaboration between industry stakeholders and government agencies.
