Vijayawada: The Hamsa Vahana seva for Durgamma has been cancelled.

On the last day of Dussehra, the temple authorities will conduct pooja kainkaryas at the Sri durgamalleswara Swami temple along with the Ganga at Durga Ghat. The Revenue Department and the Water Drainage Department officials jointly undertook the work. Every year on the last day of Dussehra, Durgamma Hamsa Vahana Teppotsavam in the Krishna river.

Dussehra Navratri will end on Saturday. In light of this, the government has canceled the Durgamma Vari Hamsa Vahanam Seva which is organized on the last day. As a result of the cancellation of Ammavari Teppotsavam the government will make alternative arrangements. The water level in the Krishna river is high, with about 40 cusecs of flood water flowing in from the upper area. In response, the government issued a statement announcing the cancellation of Durgamma Hamsa Vahana Seva.
