A 28-year-old man, suspected to be mentally unsound, threw stones at the Vande Bharat Express, damaging two of its windows. The incident occurred at 9:30 am as the train was nearing Thrissur railway station. Fortunately, none of the passengers were injured. The Vande Bharat Express was en route from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod at the time of the incident. The man was arrested, and a case was lodged against him under various provisions of the IPC and Indian Railway Act. According to the police, the man is not talking much and seems to be mentally unsound. He is not a local resident and has been observed randomly boarding trains from place to place in the past. The police have provided him with food and water and plan to take him for a medical examination. After the examination, he will be produced in court, where authorities will request that he be admitted to a mental health facility.
