US Praises Indian Elections as World’s Largest Democratic Exercise, Declines Comment on Muslim Representation

State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller made the announcement at a daily news conference, emphasizing that the US celebrates the magnitude of the Indian election. When asked about the recent election results and Muslim representation in the Indian parliament, Miller declined to respond, noting that electoral matters are for the Indian people to decide. He emphasized that the specific results of the election are not something the US comments on.
