TTD to hold Maha Shanti Yagam amid Tirupati laddu controversy

In response to the recent controversy surrounding the preparation of the famous Tirupati Laddu Prasadam, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has initiated a series of actions, including organizing a Maha Shanti Yagam for three days.

The religious ritual, aimed at seeking divine intervention for peace and sanctity, will take place at the Ananda Nilayam starting from Monday, with both Vedic scholars and Rutviks participating. Recently, the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) conducted tests on the ghee used in the preparation of Tirupati Laddu.

The NDDB’s findings revealed a shocking violation, fat extracted from animal remains was allegedly used in the ghee supplied. These revelations have sparked outrage among devotees and raised concerns over the sanctity of the laddu, which holds immense religious significance. In light of these disturbing developments, the TTD has quickly mobilized efforts to restore faith among devotees.
