Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed shock over the incident involving members of the Vijayawada Bar Association in Rajasthan who were in a road accident. He expressed grief over the death of Jyotsna, the wife of eminent lawyer Sunkara Rajendraprasad, who was known for organizing programs to raise awareness for women and students. The Chief Minister offered his prayers for her soul and conveyed his deepest condolences to her family. He also inquired about the reasons behind the bus accident and instructed his office to ensure that the injured receive proper treatment and assistance.
The accident occurred during a tour organized by the Bejawada Bar Association, where the bus they were traveling in met with an accident on the way to Ajmer in Rajasthan. In this incident, Jyotsna died on the spot, and Sunkara Rajendraprasad and 10 others sustained minor injuries. They were promptly taken to a local hospital and later transferred to another hospital for better treatment. Sunkara Rajendraprasad sustained injuries to his eye in the accident.
TDP leader and senior lawyer Gottipati Ramakrishna Prasad brought the bus accident in Rajasthan to the attention of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Vijayawada MP Keshine Chinni, and Union Ministers. The CM’s office immediately alerted the Resident Commissioner of AP Bhavan in Delhi, and AP officials spoke to the Ajmer Collector, Sub Divisional Magistrate, and Chief Secretary of Rajasthan. The seriously injured were shifted to Ajmer Hospital for better treatment, and doctors reported that Sunkara Rajendraprasad had sustained serious injuries but was out of danger.
