Nandamuri Balakrishna, the very name conjures up the image of a, bold, honest and young charming hero and his action-packed action scenes and rapid-fire dialogues in Telugu movies. Even after several decades, the young and childish face of Balakrishna on screen, is a treat to millions of his fan, across the globe. Interestingly he is celebrating the golden jubilee as a hero in the film industry. His fans affectionately call him Balayya, Yuvaratna, Natasimham and NBK.

This is a special occasion for any hero in the entire film industry in any language. On this occasion, the Telugu Film Chamber has decided to celebrate the event in a grand manner. Already, the film industry personalities of two Telugu States met and they have taken a decision unanimously to celebrate the occasion as the film industry’s event. As per the decision, they would felicitate Nandamuri Balakrishna in Hyderabad city by inviting the all the film personalities across the country. Already the South Indian film industry have been informed about this and it has reacted positively.

All the superstars and co-actors of Indian film Industry will participate in the event. Balakrishna started his career in 1974 as a child artist at the age of 14 with the “Tatamma Kala” movie. It was released on 30th August in 1974. As per the movie date, he will complete 50 years in the film industry August 30. Several well noted actors are in the film industry by performing different kinds of roles but Nandamuri Balakrishna has a special record of continuously acting as hero in his 60’s age. Now Balakrishna’s 109th movie is on sets and so far he acted with 129 heroines. As a solo hero his first movie Sahasame Jeevitam also hit at the box office.

His movies like Mangammagari Manavadu, Muvvagopaludu, Muddula Krishnaiah, Muddula Mavayya, Naari Naari Naduma Murari, Srikrishnarjuna Vijayam, Aditya -369, Rowdy Inspector, Lorry Driver, Bhairava Dweepam, Bobbilli Simham, Samarasimha Reddy, Narasihma Naidu, Legend, Simha, Sri Rama Rajyam, Pandurangadu, Akhanda, Veerasimha Reddy and many movies created sensation and won the accolades of audience. He is only the hero acted in mythology, science fiction and fantasy movies along with the routine drama, action movies.

He created new records at box office with his mass action movies and he is trend setter for such genre of films. He is only suitable hero in the entire South India to act in god’s role like Sri Rama, Sri Krishna and Kings Role like Sri Krishna Devarayulu. Balakrishna made his acting debut as a child artiste in Tatamma Kala, which was directed by his father NT Rama Rao.

He acted in several films in NTR’s direction Daana Veera Soora Karna (1977) Sri Madvirata Paravam (1979), Akbar Salim Anarkali, Sri Tiruapthi Venkateswara Kalyanam (1979) and Shrimad Virat Veerabrahmendra Swami Charitra. At the age of 16, he acted in a movie titled Annadammula Anubandham (1975), a remake of Dharmendra’s Hindi movie Yaadon Ki Baraat, and played a brother to his real life father, Rama Rao. Balakrishna appeared as son to his real life brother Nandamuri Hari Krishna in Daana Veera Sura Karna.

Balakrishna started a movie in his own direction but it was shelved midway due to various reasons. His 100th film Sri Goutami Putra Sathakarni created a record victory in the movie he acted as ruler of Sathavahana dynasty. He also acted in his father’s role in Kathanayakudu Biopic story of legendary actor NTR. He received Nandi Awards thrice and South Indian Film Festival Awards. In his political career, now he is representing as MLA from Hindupur Assembly segment consecutively for third time. He has also been actively participating in service activity as Indo-American Hospital Chairman’s role. The actor was born in Chennai and spent his childhood completed his schooling in Tamilnadu.

Producer T Prasanna Kumar Speaking to The Capital News said that he is only hero in the country playing roles in different fields successfully acting, politics and service activities. Balakrishna’s 50th year in film industry will be celebrated in Hyderabad with grand fervor on September 1st. The fans will also celebrate the day across , the state, said.
