The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has made some changes in the darshan services at Tirumala. The TTD has cancelled Srivari arjita services, break darshans, and various special darshans from October 3rd to 12th. This decision was made in light of the upcoming Srivari Brahmotsavam, during which it is expected that a large number of ordinary devotees will visit Tirumala to witness the Swami’s vehicle services.
Specifically, the TTD has cancelled special darshans for the elderly, disabled, and parents of small children every day from October 3 to 12, which includes the Chakrasnanam event. Furthermore, the TTD has restricted VIP break darshans to protocol elites only. The TTD has urged devotees to cooperate with these changes. Additionally, the TTD has identified irregularities in the issuance of Srivari Darshan tickets and plans to make Aadhaar linking mandatory for online service and darshan tickets to address this issue.
The TTD is also working to improve its IT system in collaboration with Jio and TCS representatives to ensure a smoother process for devotees. The Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, Shyamala Rao, has been actively involved in making these changes and has expressed his commitment to maintaining the sanctity of Tirumala while organizing new programs. He is confident that Tirumala will see positive changes in the near future.
