Telangana Floods: The death toll has risen to 24 due to severe damage caused by rains and floods in the state. Additionally, 14,000 mute animals have died, and 6,000 houses and 1,900 km of roads have been destroyed. The impact has been severe, affecting 130 villages. Heavy rains have caused immense damage across the state, leading to loss of life and property.
Khammam and Mahbubabad districts are among the hardest hit by the floods, with significant damage also reported in Suryapet, Bhadradi Kothagudem, and Mulugu areas. The disaster has resulted in the destruction of 6,000 houses and 84 government schools.
NDRF teams have rescued 4,500 people trapped in the floods, and 11,300 individuals are seeking shelter in government resettlement camps. The Road Buildings Department and Panchayat Raj Department have also reported damage to about 1,900 km of roads.
