NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule, who has won the Baramati Lok Sabha seat for the fourth time in a row, visited the house of her cousin, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s mother, to seek her blessings. Sule’s victory in the Baramati seat was closely watched as she defeated NCP candidate Sunetra Pawar, her sister-in-law and wife of Ajit Pawar, by a margin of 1,58,333 votes. This was the first time members of the influential Pawar family fought against each other in their home turf.
Addressing reporters during her first visit to Baramati after her Lok Sabha poll victory, Sule emphasized the importance of seeking blessings from her family elders. She mentioned that the people of Baramati have entrusted her with a significant responsibility by electing her for the fourth consecutive time.
Sule also shared that tackling water scarcity is a primary concern, and her family members have already devised plans to address this issue. She expressed her intention to visit the drought-affected regions and discussed ongoing deliberations about the assembly elections within the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) and the INDIA bloc.
