Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has advised the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders to remain vigilant against the misinformation allegedly being spread by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). CM Chandrababu received requests from people at NTR Bhavan on Saturday. He held a meeting with party leaders and stressed the importance of countering YSRCP’s alleged false narratives with truth and party coordination.
CM Chandrababu stated, “YSRCP leader Jaganmohan Reddy is resorting to spreading lies before presenting the facts to the public. We must be prepared to tackle these falsehoods and conspiracies effectively.” He urged the party members to thwart any such attempts with strong coordination among the ranks. The meeting also touched upon the dissatisfaction expressed by TDP leaders regarding the police response in the recent chariot fire incident in Anantapur district.
Several leaders pointed out that some police officers prematurely concluded that there was no political involvement in the incident, which they found inappropriate before a full investigation could be completed. The leaders emphasized the need for caution to prevent any overzealous statements by the police that might mislead the public. The discussion further included a focus on the upcoming MLC elections for graduates in the Krishna-Guntur and Godavari districts.
CM Naidu instructed key party leaders, including Palla Srinivas and Ashok Babu, to begin preparing candidate proposals for the election. He emphasized the importance of selecting strong contenders who could effectively represent the party’s interests. Ministers Anita, DBV Swamy, TDP State president Palla Srinivas, MLC Ashok Babu, and senior leader Varla Ramaiah were also present at the meeting.
