Silver futures rise on spot demand

Silver prices on Friday rose Rs 343 to Rs 93,321 per kilogram as participants widened their bets on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for December delivery increased Rs 343 or 0.37 per cent to Rs 93,321 per kg in a business turnover of 1,328 lots.

Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions built up by participants on a positive domestic trend.

Globally, silver was trading 0.48 per cent higher at USD 32.17 per ounce in New York.
