Sharmila slams CM Chandrababu over unfulfilled super six schemes

Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) chief Y S Sharmila has criticized Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for failing to fulfill welfare promises ahead of elections.

Speaking in Vijayawada on Thursday, she expressed disappointment that none of the “Super Six” welfare schemes, including free gas cylinders and free RTC travel for women, were discussed in the recent cabinet meeting.

Sharmila questioned the sincerity of Naidu’s government, which had previously promised major developments, saying, “Chandrababu’s Super Sixes have been blown away.” She highlighted unfulfilled commitments from the 2014 elections, criticizing the government’s failure to implement meaningful change.

The APCC chief also addressed the issue of vacant government jobs, noting that around 3 lakh positions remain unfilled. “It has been ten years since government jobs were last filled. We need a clear job calendar,” she stated.

Sharmila emphasized the disparity between promises and actions, questioning the delay in the free gas cylinder scheme, which was promised by Dussehra, and the lack of funds for initiatives costing Rs 4,000 crore.
