Kadapa: May 8: AP Congress Chief YS Sharmila has made sensational comments against YSR Congress MP candidate YS Avinash Reddy that he was readying the passports for leaving here to avoid an arrest threat. She said that Avinash Reddy was accepting his defeat  as part of it he was making plans to leave the country. She launched the scathing attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, declaring him “ineligible” to enter the Andhra Pradesh due to alleged deceit spanning the past decade.

In a press conference held in Kadapa on Wednesday, Sharmila accused Modi of shedding “crocodile tears” for Andhra Pradesh solely due to the concurrent Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. Sharmila vehemently asserted, “You are ineligible to enter the State. First, seek apology from the people of Andhra Pradesh. For ten years, you have deceived the State, and now you shed crocodile tears.” She further dramatised her statement by presenting a radio as a symbolic gift to the Prime Minister, inviting him to listen to the ‘Mann ki Baat’ of the Telugu populace from the state.

Criticising Modi’s recent frequent visits to the state, Sharmila asserted that they were politically motivated rather than aimed at genuine development initiatives. She challenged the Prime Minister to fulfill the promises made to Andhra Pradesh and demanded an affidavit guaranteeing the fulfillment of these promises.

Sharmila’s pointed questions included inquiries about the failure to grant special category status despite parliamentary assurances, the lack of obstruction to chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s reverse tendering policies, including those affecting projects like Polavaram, and the stagnation of Amaravati’s development despite Modi’s initial involvement in its foundation.
