“Sharad Pawar Slams Modi: Alleges Misleading Speeches and Diversion Tactics”

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, claiming that his speeches are not based on facts and reality.

Speaking to reporters, Pawar alleged that Modi does not address basic issues that people face and instead diverts their attention.

Pawar also pointed out that he has never seen a prime minister whose speeches were not based on facts and reality.

Pawar wondered why Maharashtra is voting in five phases in the current Lok Sabha elections, saying that it is because Modi can campaign in the state as much as possible.

He also alleged that Modi’s frequent remark that the INDIA bloc would bring reservation based on religion if voted to power was an attempt to create social tension.

Pawar denied the claim and said that they have never talked about it.

Modi has also been speaking about redistribution of wealth and inheritance tax, which does not have any mention in the Congress manifesto.

During his campaign in the state, Modi targeted Sharad Pawar, calling him a “bhatakti atma” (wandering soul) and claiming that Maharashtra has been a victim of it.

Pawar’s NCP (SP) is contesting 10 out of 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra as part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance with Shiv Sena (UBT), which is fighting on 21 seats, and Congress, which is fighting on 17 seats.
