Rajahmundry MP Daggubati Purandeshwari, who also serves as chairperson of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Steering Executive Committee, has embarked on a visit to Australia to attend the 67th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC).
The event, featuring delegates from over 50 countries, will focus on addressing global issues impacting women, including enhancing women’s representation in political bodies. MP Purandeshwari is representing India at the conference and will contribute to discussions alongside fellow parliamentarians.
The CPC provides a platform to discuss crucial topics like gender equality and the role of women in politics, aligning with Purandeshwari’s mandate as chairperson of the Commonwealth Women’s Parliamentary Steering Committee. The conference in Australia will continue through November 10, after which MP Purandeshwari is expected to return to India on November 11.
