The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) took place in Dubai on September 14 and 15. The awards ceremony was a grand event, with actors from Tollywood, Kollywood, and Mollywood in attendance. The first day of the ceremony featured the announcement of awards for the Telugu and Kannada film industries.
Some of the winners included Rakshit Shetty’s film “Sapta Sagarada’s Yellow – Side A” and Nani’s “Dussehra, Hi Nanna” in Kannada, and actors Mrinal Thakur and Keerthy Suresh for best actress in “Hi Nanna” and “Dussehra” respectively. Nani and Srikanth Odela won the best actor and director awards for the movie “Dussehra” in Kannada. The best film award went to “Katera” in Kannada and “Bhagwant Kesari,” starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, was awarded the best film in Telugu. Vijay Devara Konda won the Best Actor Award in the Best Critics (Baby) category.
