Rescuers have spotted the helicopter carrying Iran’s president and other officials, according to an official speaking to Iranian state television on Monday.
Pir Hossein Kolivand, the head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, stated that rescue teams have located the helicopter approximately 2 kilometers away.
However, Kolivand did not provide further details. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, the country’s foreign minister, and other officials are believed to have crashed in the mountainous northwest region of Iran on Sunday and have been missing for over 12 hours.
