Minister for HRD and IT, Nara Lokesh emphasized that the “Red Book” policy has already been implemented and IPS officers found guilty of misconduct have been suspended. Lokesh reiterated his stance on upholding the law, stating that anyone who violates it will face punishment.
During a visit to a local school in Srikakulam, Lokesh said that the government’s focus is to place the right people in the right positions. Speaking on religious matters, Lokesh highlighted the importance of respecting all faiths and addressed the controversy surrounding former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s visit to Tirumala.”It would be better to follow the tradition of declaration at Tirumala,” Lokesh said. He mentioned the complaints about the poor quality of Tirumala Laddu and announced a committee to investigate irregularities.
On governance, Lokesh affirmed that key welfare programs, such as pensions and free gas cylinders, are being rolled out, and Visakha Steel will not be privatized. He criticized the YSRCP government’s mismanagement of the education sector, leading to a decline in student enrollment in government schools. Lokesh announced plans to improve education infrastructure and emphasized the importance of involving parents and teachers in decision-making.
