Rain Alert: Important alert for the residents of Rayalaseema and the South Coast.

Heavy rains are currently affecting Andhra Pradesh, leading to concerns about flash floods. The government is taking measures to minimize the impact, with Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu personally reviewing the situation at the Disaster Management Office.

The Visakha Cyclone Warning Center has issued warnings for heavy rains in the coming days, particularly in Rayalaseema and the South Coast. The system forming in the Bay of Bengal is expected to move northwest towards the north coast and south Orissa Chhattisgarh areas, gradually weakening as a severe low pressure. The potential impact includes heavy rains in the South Coast and Rayalaseema, with red alerts for certain districts.

Finally, the meteorological department has advised fishermen to avoid sea fishing due to gusty winds. In the last 24 hours, significant rainfall has been recorded across all districts, with Amaravati and Tiruvur experiencing the highest amounts of rainfall.
