Prime Video announced that the third season of its highly anticipated original series “Mirzapur” will start streaming from July 5. Produced and created by Excel Media and Entertainment, the fan-favorite crime thriller is directed by Gurmmeet Singh and Anand Iyer. In the 10-episode series, the makers said fans will see the stakes going higher and the canvas becoming bigger. The series will continue to focus on the battle for power and dominance in the fictional world of Mirzapur. The ensemble cast for the third season includes Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Anjum Sharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Rajesh Tailang, Sheeba Chadha, Meghna Malik, and Manu Rishi Chadha. Nikhil Madhok, head of Hindi originals at Prime Video India, expressed excitement about the upcoming season and the deep connection the “Mirzapur” franchise has with its global audience. Ritesh Sidhwani, producer at Excel Entertainment, also shared his excitement for the new season and the overwhelming support from fans. The first season of “Mirzapur” premiered in 2018 followed by the second season in 2020.
