Prime Minister Narendra Modi took his oath as a member of the 18th Lok Sabha on Monday. Earlier this month, he returned to power for a third consecutive term. On June 9, Modi and his Council of Ministers took their oaths. This marks Modi’s third term as a member of the Lok Sabha. He retained the Varanasi seat, which he has been winning since 2014, and as Leader of the House, he was the first one to take the oath. Additionally, B Mahtab took his oath as a member of the new House and as the pro-tem speaker at Rashtrapati Bhavan earlier in the day.
