Prime Minister Modi Launches ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ Tree Plantation Campaign on World Environment Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling at the Buddha Jayanti Park to commemorate World Environment Day. The campaign, named ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, aims to plant millions of trees across the country. Modi expressed his delight in launching the campaign and emphasized the importance of protecting Mother Nature and making sustainable lifestyle choices. He encouraged everyone to contribute to improving the planet by planting trees. Modi also shared that India has seen increased forest cover over the last decade due to collective efforts and the involvement of local communities. He urged people to plant trees in their mothers’ names and share photos online using #Plant4Mother. Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav and Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena also participated in the event.
