Vijayawada, April 24: A court in Vijayawada has granted three days of police custody to the prime accused, Vemula Satish Kumar (19), in chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stone pelting case. The police apprehended Vemula Satish Kumar on April 17 from an apartment situated in RR Peta, following standard procedures. The accused was presented before the court on April 18.

According to police reports, the accused provided a voluntary confessional statement, implicating another individual as an instigator who conspired to harm the chief minister by throwing a sharp-edged stone at a sensitive area. The court has directed the police to interrogate him in the presence of his advocate on April 25, 26, and 27.

Based on the remand report, the accused allegedly carried out the attack on the chief minister as part of a pre-planned act. Additionally, the police have gathered evidence from eyewitnesses, phone call data, and CCTV footage. The CCTV footage reportedly confirms the movements of the accused, leading to the conclusion that a political conspiracy was involved in the attack on the CM
