Some recently elected Members of Parliament, expected to be appointed as Union Ministers in the third NDA government, have been summoned for a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence at 11:30 am. Sources revealed that a senior BJP official has called the BJP MPs for the meeting without disclosing its purpose. It is believed that these MPs are likely to be appointed as Union Ministers later in the evening. Meanwhile, TDP MP Jayadev Galla stated on ‘X’ that party MP Ram Mohan Naidu will be sworn in as a cabinet minister, and another MP Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani will be appointed as a minister of state in the new ministry. Modi is scheduled to take oath on Sunday for his third consecutive term as the head of a coalition government, following two full tenures in which the BJP held a majority on its own. The 73-year-old will be matching the accomplishment of the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, who emerged victorious in the 1952, 1957, and 1962 general elections. Dignitaries and special invitees from India’s neighboring countries and the Indian Ocean Region are expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Prime Minister and his council of ministers at Rashtrapati Bhavan at 7:15 pm.
