Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, accompanied by his daughter Adhya, paid a visit to the revered Goddess Kanakadurga on Indrakiladri on Thursday. The duo participated in the darshan of the Goddess, who was adorned in the ‘Saraswati Alankaram’ on the occasion.
During the visit, Pawan Kalyan was presented with the traditional laddu prasadam and a portrait of Goddess Durga by the temple authorities. However, the visit took a controversial turn when some of Pawan Kalyan’s supporters, upon seeing him, began chanting slogans of “Jai Jana Sena” and “Jai Pawan Kalyan” within the temple premises.
The chants drew sharp reactions from several devotees who were present for the darshan, expressing their displeasure at the disruption of the temple’s sanctity. Many devotees criticized the shouting of political slogans inside the holy site, asserting that religious places should be free from such activities. The temple administration had made special arrangements to ensure smooth darshan for all devotees, particularly during the festive season when the temple sees a large influx of visitors.
