Pawan Kalyan, Prakash Raj lock horns over Tirupati laddu controversy

Actor Prakash Raj has once again taken to Twitter, targeting Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan over the ongoing Tirupati laddu controversy. In a tweet, Raj raised concerns about how the issue is being handled, though he refrained from directly naming Pawan Kalyan. “What do we want? To achieve political gain by inciting emotions among the people? Or to solve the problem sensitively with necessary serious measures as an administrative matter without hurting people’s sentiments?” Prakash Raj tweeted, hinting at the underlying tensions surrounding the controversy.

Earlier, Prakash Raj had posted another tweet, saying, “Your comments are inciting communal tensions. Thank you to your friends at the Centre,” in what appeared to be a veiled jab at Pawan Kalyan’s political affiliations. Responding to the actor’s comments, Pawan Kalyan said, “I did not misunderstand the opinion expressed by Prakash Raj through social media. I understood his intention correctly,” said Pawan Kalyan in a statement.

He further clarified his stance, adding, “The sentiments of the devotees have been hurt. As I respond with the intention of punishing the culprits, there is no need for Prakash Raj to comment saying, ‘Your friends in Delhi.”
