The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced new dates for various examinations that were cancelled or postponed, including the UGC-NET. The UGC-NET, which was cancelled on June 18, will now be held from August 21 to September 4. This decision was made after concerns were raised regarding the integrity of the exam, with reports of the question paper being leaked on the darknet and circulated on the Telegram app. The exam will return to the Computer Based Test (CBT) format spread across a fortnight, as opposed to the offline mode used in the previous attempt. The CSIR UGC-NET, which was postponed, will be conducted from July 25 to July 27. Additionally, the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) for admission to the four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in select universities and institutions, which was postponed on June 12, will now be conducted on July 10.
