The Guntur district’s Mangalagiri police have issued a notice to senior YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy in connection with the 2021 attack on the Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) central office. As per the notice, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has been asked to appear for a hearing at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.

The attack, which took place in 2021, has been under investigation, with several YSRCP leaders having already been questioned. Notices have also been issued to various organizations and individuals believed to be linked to the incident.

President of the YSRCP student wing Chaitanya, a close associate of party MLC Lella Appireddy, surrendered before the Mangalagiri court. Chaitanya has been identified as a key accused in the case. On the same day, YSRCP leaders, including Appireddy, Devineni Avinash, and Thalasila Raghuram, were summoned to the Mangalagiri police station for questioning.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, the Andhra Pradesh government decided to transfer the case to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). However, until the case is officially handed over, the Mangalagiri police will continue their investigation.
