Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has made it clear that no other name should resonate on the sacred Tirumala Hill except “Govinda.” In a meeting held with officials of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) at the Padmavati Guest House, the CM emphasized the importance of protecting the sanctity of Tirumala and ensuring that the spiritual and cultural integrity of the hill remains undisturbed.
“The sentiments of the devotees should not be compromised in any matter,” Naidu said firmly, instructing the officials to prioritize the spiritual atmosphere of Tirumala. The review meeting was attended by minister for Endowment Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, TTD executive officer, and other senior officials. During the review, CM Naidu sought feedback on the services provided to devotees in Tirumala.
He suggested that every pilgrim should be given an opportunity to share their experiences and provide suggestions. “Better services can be offered by considering the feedback and opinions of the devotees,” Naidu noted. Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy added that such a feedback mechanism should be extended beyond Tirumala to other temples under the TTD’s jurisdiction.
Devotees have expressed satisfaction with the improved quality of Tirumala Laddu Prasadam and Anna Prasadam. CM Naidu emphasized maintaining and enhancing this quality, insisting that only the best ingredients be used. He stressed that the quality of materials must not be compromised. The CM also called for reducing VIP culture at the temple, ensuring that celebrity visits do not cause chaos.
“The decor should remain spiritual, without extravagance or waste,” he said. He emphasized treating TTD staff and devotees, especially those from abroad, with respect, ensuring they leave with a sense of satisfaction and devotion. Naidu highlighted Tirumala’s spiritual significance, urging improvements in SWIMS services and calling for responsible efforts to preserve its sanctity. Regarding infrastructure, he stressed long-term planning for water resources, targeting an increase in forest coverage from 72- 80 per cent. He called for a five-year plan for forest expansion and biodiversity conservation.
