NDA’s Third Term to Drive Meity’s Ambitious IT Initiatives

The NDA is expected to form government for a third term, and the IT Secretary S Krishnan announced that the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) will pursue a number of new initiatives while continuing to build on past successes and outcomes. Krishnan mentioned that these initiatives are already planned and will be carried out after the new government is in place. He also confirmed that work on Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) rules and the Digital India legislation framework will continue, and the ministry will also focus on shaping the proposed Digital India legislation. Krishnan emphasized that Meity will push ahead with its agenda and build on past successes.
