Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 32nd International Conference of Agricultural Economists (ICAE) in India after 65 years. The event, organized by the International Association of Agricultural Economists, will last for six days and has the theme “Transformation Towards Sustainable Agri-Food Systems.

” About 1,000 delegates from 75 countries will participate in the conference. Its main goal is to address the urgent need for sustainable agriculture in the face of global challenges like climate change, natural resource degradation, rising production costs, and conflicts.

The conference will also showcase India’s proactive approach to global agricultural challenges, highlighting the nation’s progress in agricultural research and policy.

It aims to provide a platform for young researchers and professionals to present their work, network with peers, strengthen partnerships between research institutes and universities, influence national and global policy-making, and showcase India’s agricultural progress, including advancements in digital agriculture and sustainable agri-food systems.
