Nellore: Former Minister Ponguru Narayana, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate from Nellore city, has committed to spending Rs 10 crore annually for the welfare of party workers. This decision was made following discussions with party leaders and workers about the polling pattern after the elections concluded on May 13. The idea for the TDP workers’ welfare fund emerged from Narayana’s desire to support the dedicated party cadre who have worked tirelessly with him. The fund, which will be sustained by an annual deposit of Rs 10 crore from Narayana’s family earnings, aims to address various needs of the party workers. The funds will be entirely allocated for the welfare of the workers, starting with the issuance of identity cards to all members. Ends/
