Amaravati: The present Assembly Election-2024 is very special for former Chief Minister and TDP national president Nara Chandrababu Naidu. So far Chandrababu Naidu has been recognised as brand ambassador for development, an economic reformer, a creator of Cyberabad City, and the backbone of Hyderabad’s development.

Presently he is all set to create a new record in his long political journey in the history of Andhra Pradesh either after or before state bifurcation. His contest from the Kuppam Assembly constituency in the Chittoor district has a unique specialty this time. So far he has been elected eight times to the Assembly. Senior Congress leader late Penmatsa Sambasiva Raju, had been elected eight times from Vizianagaram district, holds a record on par with Chandrababu Naidu. Previously he was elected from Gajapathinagaram, Sathiwada of the present Etcherla constituency. He was elected as an independent candidate in his first election and later joined the Congress party. He is the mentor of political leaders like Botsa Satyanarayana and Kolagatla Veerbhadra Swamy.

As per ground reports, his election will be a formality. Chandrababu Naidu holds a record already as the highest tenure Chief Minister for Andhra Pradesh and the first Chief Minister after the state bifurcation.

However, eminent Congress leader NG Ranga has been a Parliamentarian for 50 years earning a place in the Guinness book of world records. He was elected twice for Rajya Sabha from Madras State and remaining tenure for Lok Sabha. Chandrababu Naidu is the only leader just one step away from creating a record in the Assembly history of Andhra Pradesh if registered victory for the ninth time.

In the past M Baaga Reddy of the Congress party won seven times for the Assembly.
